DAVID HAYE VS NIKOLAY VALUEV ODDS AND BETTING TIPS

There's been some interesting developments in the online betting markets as we are now just a few hours away from the David Haye vs Nikolai Valeuv heavyweight title fight. Valuev's odds have shortened with most major bookmakers and BetFred is listing him at evens. Haye had been seen as low as 3/5 while he is now trading at 4/5 just hours before the fight and there is a distinct chance that both fighters could be listed at evens when the opening bell sounds.
This is a big development because it rewards Haye's fans who waited to make their bets. Haye boasts some very excellent odds in the round betting and this is justified by the fact that all major bookies seem to be convinced that this one is going down to a decision. You'll find Haye listed between 20/1 and 28/1 with his favoured rounds being #3 and #4.
Valuev is priced between 33/1 and 66/1 with his shortest prices being on the opening rounds #1 thru #5.
I do see a decision in the cards here and when you have two fighters listed this short in such a high-profile fight (surely to attract lots of patriotic bets) you know it could come down to a dramatic final decision. A split-decision is very well-priced out for both participants and I recommend backing it as a hedge against any round or round group betting you do. Haye by split decision is listed at 8/1 while Valuev by split decision is carrying a 10/1 price.
You can back no knockdowns to happen in the fight at 5/2. I expect it to be a popular selection, but I'm a bit up in the air about that one.
I'll be backing David Haye in this fight, more for the reason that I think the title is due to change hands than anything else. He's a quality fighter and I think this is his time, but Valuev is tough opposition. I think if you're going to back Haye, don't bother the outright and mix your bet up between round group betting for a KO, a unanimous decision and a split-decision victory.
