DYNAMO KIEV VS BARCELONA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE BETTING TIPS
Barca look set for a victory in the Ukraine tonight as they take on Dinamo Kiev in their final Champions League clash. Barcelona haven’t travelled to Kiev for a European fixture since 1997 and Shevchenko and Co. will be looking to give them a tough evening in front of their home fans. Barcelona actually haven’t won in Kiev since 1992, ironically when Josep Guardiola was actually in the starting line-up.
Betfair layers have the Catalan Club trading at around 1.65 or so with the Ukrainians available at 7.4. The draw is priced at around 3.85 and that’s a pretty solid bet in my book. Personally, I think that Barca have shown plenty of weakness and when they come up against a stubborn team that is really just looking to nullify their threat, they can really struggle. I personally think Barcelona would have a tough time playing against the Stokes and Blackburns of the Premiership for this exact reason. The Ukrainian side know how to get stuck in and they can certainly present a threat. Additionally, the chilly air in Kiev is a sharp contrast to the sunny shores of Catalonia.
Andriy Shevchenko is listed at 4.5 to score anytime with Artem Milevskiy just behind him at 4.6. You’ll find Andriy Yarmolenko at 5.6 with Oleh Husyev at 7.0. Tiberiu Ghioane can be backed at 7.4.
Lionel Messi is the favoured goalscorer for Barca, just pipping big Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the moment with a 2.26 to the Swede’s 2.3. Thierry Henry is available at around 3.05 while Bojan trades at 4.1. Xavi can be backed at 7.8 while Andres Iniesta can be backed at 6.8.
Barcelona are short-priced for a 2-1 away win at 9.2, I like Barcelona in a 3-2 victory at 34.0, while a 1-1 draw pays a mere 8.6. The bookies don’t seem to fancy a pile of goals here with over 3.5 goals at a 3.3 price while under 3.5 goals trades at 1.41.
I think Shevchenko and his mates could get a few lucky bounces here and it’s a tough stadium in which to play an away fixture. The value is certainly with the Ukrainians and we may be in for a match that doesn’t resolve itself until the final minutes.
