Eagles tipped to rise to the occasion (Palace vs Norwich)

VC Bet's football expert Nick Blezard has tipped Crystal Palace to emerge victorious from their relegation scrap with Norwich City on Saturday. The Eagles currently have a three-point cushion over bottom-of-the-table Norwich with just six games remaining before the end of the season. "Selhurst Park will be packed to the rafters on Saturday and I strongly fancy their star man Andy Johnson to fire them closer to safety against a Norich side that is so goal shy on its travels," said Blezard. Nigel Worthington's strugglers have mustered only seven league goals away from home this season. "Although Palace were beaten by Everton last week it looked to me as if they accepted the inevitable against the resurgent Toffees when they went two behind and were instead steeling themselves for this weekend's make-or-break fixture." Blezard picked out Wayne Routledge as a man capable helping Johnson out in the scoring stakes. "We have been very impressed with Routledge for some time now and we often see shrewd support for him to score first for his side whenever he plays. "He's got pace to burn and also creates chances for himself as well as for the team in general. If he has a big game the home side can earn the win that will most probably condemn Norwich to life in the Coca Cola Championship next year. Norwich are still looking for their first Premiership away win this season. Blezard also warned punters not to get too excited about the Canaries' win against Manchester United last week. "A much depleted United almost certainly had one eye on their FA Cup semi against Newcastle so it would be dangerous to read too much into that result. "Darren Huckerby tries his heart out for the cause and keeper Richard Green produces heroics every week but it just isn't enough. I think the speed and the power of the Premiership has found the squad out. "For me it's going to be a 2-0 victory for Palace over Norwhich and that man Johnson to score first."Go to VCBet now
