ENGLAND VS ALGERIA PREDICTIONS AND LATEST ODDS FOR THE 2ND HALF

England have it all to do in the second half with Algeria dictating the bulk of the play for the majority of the first 45 minutes. There are countless problems out there with the England side, but they just look like they can't be bothered right now. The word "casual" is probably the best way to describe the approach from virtually every England player up to this point.

England's odds to win the match have risen to 1.44 while Algeria have dropped to 8.0. The draw continues to be priced at 3.5.
Not to be totally negative, England really did start to find their verve towards the end of the first half where they started to move the ball a lot better and carve out significantly more chances.
One change that needs to be made is Emile Heskey. He needs to go off and we need to bring on a player who can actually get a goal. I understand why Capello picks him- for his effort and his industry but when he looks like just cannot be arsed to chase the ball then what's the point? When the Algerian keeper spilled the ball after a shot and Heskey was right there he just stood around.
I think if Capello brought on Crouch it would be too much long-ball so I think that right now Jermain Defoe is the best option because that way Rooney actually can drop deep and England can still supply the ball to a competent player.
England are priced at 1.36 to score the next goal while Algeria are listed at 5.5. I think that's a great price on Algeria, truth be told, but England were starting to knock on the door towards the end of the half.
Wayne Rooney's odds to score the next goal are listed at 4.33 and that precariously close to the 4.5 price for "no match goalscorer". That pretty much tells you all you need to know.
England have to win this match. A 1-0 result has been shortened to 3.5 and right now I would definitely take that. England need to make changes. Take off Heskey and bring on Joe Cole for either Gerrard or Lampard.
