ENGLAND VS BULGARIA BETTING PREVIEW FOR EURO 2012 FRIDAY

England are set to open up their Euro 2012 campaign against Bulgaria this Friday and it probably goes without saying that, even after a deplorable World Cup campaign, Fabio Capello's men are extremely firm favourites for this one. Popular bookmaker Bet365 has priced England at a slim 2/7, even with a number of key players set to miss the match.
Bulgaria's odds to beat England are currently trading around 10/1 while the draw can be backed at a 4/1 price tag. I think there is only one reasonable way for this one to wind up and it would really take either a performance and a half from Bulgaria or England to produce one of their worst performances of all time.
The bookmakers definitely expect goals in this one and the over/under is set at 2.5. You can back the over at a 7/10 price while the under is available at 11/10.
England to beat Bulgaria on a (-1.5) handicap is rewarding at just over even-money with a 2.05 price. Bulgaria to win the match (+1.5) is trading at 1.8. England (-1.0) is priced at 10/11.
Wayne Rooney is the favoured goalscorer in this match and he's the only player listed at an odds-on price to score at any point. You can back Rooney to score against Bulgaria at an 8/11 price while he is trading at 3/1 to score first or last.
Peter Crouch will not be playing as he has pulled out of the squad with a back injury.
Jermain Defoe and Steven Gerrard are both priced at 13/10 to score at any point in the match while Carlton Cole or Darren Bent could certainly see some action and possibly be in the starting lineup. You can back either of them at 6/4 to score at any point in the match.
Theo Walcott could be poised for a big match against Bulgaria and he's trading at 2/1 to score a goal at any point. You can back Walcott at 7/1 to score first or last.
