ENGLAND VS GERMANY LATEST PREDICTIONS AND BETTING PREVIEW

England are being given just the slightest of edges by the bookmakers for their upcoming match on Sunday against Germany. It is going to be an encounter for the ages and we expect absolutely massive betting volume on this one.

It's interesting that the English bookmakers are putting Wayne Rooney & Co. slightly ahead of the Germans while German bookmakers like Bwin are pricing both teams at an equal price.
Some of the most interesting bets for the match are on the star players and, when you look at the team sheets, you realize just how many match-winners there are going to be on the pitch for this fixture.
Wayne Rooney's odds to score against Germany are listed at 13/8 anytime and he's 16/1 to score in both halves- that's the type of contribution England fans are hoping for. Wayne Rooney's odds to score a hat-trick against Germany are priced at 40/1. He is 10/3 to score first for England and 8/1 to score from outside the box.
Jermain Defoe will likely get the start for England as well and he's trading at 2/1 anytime. Steven Gerrard can be backed at 11/4 to score anytime while Frank Lampard is priced at 3/1. James Milner can be backed at 11/2 and that's not a bad price if you expect him to build on his performance in the last match.
England's odds to beat Germany are listed at 13/8 in the 90 minutes market while Germany are listed at 7/4. The draw, which would see us through to extra time and (gulp) penalties, is listed at 11/5. In regards to outright qualification (including extra time and PKs) England are at 5/6 and Germany at 10/11.
Under 2.5 goals is favoured at a slim 1/2 while over 2.5 goals is listed at 6/4. I can see more than a few in this match so I think the over is the way to go.
I don't think its anybody in particular's game to win, but I think that if England continue to progress then they can pull this one off. I think discipline will be crucial here and I could see the Germans getting a player sent off. I think England will win this one, but the first goal is absolutely vital.
