ENGLAND VS INDIA TEST SERIES- ENGLAND PAYS 10/1 TO WIN FIRST TEST
England's cricket team, led by Kevin Pietersen, have emerged as heroes after having agreed to play their upcoming test series in India. After having vacated the country following the Mumbai terror attacks, Kevin Pietersen and Andrew Flintoff have thumbed their nose at those Lashkar-e-Taiba losers and declared that cricket will carry on! Amidst heavy security, mind. As usual, the betting action on cricket is best at Centrebet- they've always got the best odds and the most markets to choose from. There's something about those Aussies and their cricket- they always seem to do it well. England, having been absolutely annihilated by India's opening batsmen during the shortened ODI series, are going into this test as the clear underdogs, paying a full 10/1 to secure the victory in Chennai. Judging from how the bookmakers have things laid out now, Virender Sehwag (1.88) is being backed to outscore Gautam Gambhir (1.92) with the bat and they are also favouring Sachin Tendulkar (1.85) to score higher runs than VVS Laxman (1.95)- I will definitely be backing Laxman on that one. In terms of English batting specialsthere is absolutely no difference between England's opening pair Andrew Strauss and Alastair Cook (both are listed at 1.90), but Ian Bell (1.82) is backed to score more runs than Paul Collingwood (1.98).Speaking of opening partnerships, India are the favourites to continue their excellent opening overs as they are listed at 1.6 to score more runs than England, listed at 2.3. Kevin Pietersen is backed at 4.25 to be England's highest run scorer, but I'm looking at Owais Shah myself (6.00). Recommendations: Back Owais Shah as highest England run-scorer @ 6/1Back Ian bell to outscore Paul Collingwood @ 1.82Back VVS Laxman to outscore Sachin Tendulkar @ 1.95Back England to win the 1st test (why the hell not?) @ 10/1
