ENGLAND VS INDIA TWENTY20 BETTING TIPS
England face a must-win situation against India today as a once-promising campaign threatens to go down in flames amidst controversy and some mediocre performances. After a reassuring victory over Pakistan, England were again derailed as they lost by a significant margin to Jacques Kallis and the rest of the South Afircan side. With Stuart Broad's tactics drawing the ire of the ICC, some unwanted controversy could creep into the equation ahead of the widely-anticipated 2009 Ashes series. As it currently stands for today's match, England are listed at 11/8 while India are odds-on at 8/15. Clearly, Paul Collingwood's men have to be on the top of their games, but after West Indies stomped India courtesy of a massive performance from Dwayne Bravo, you get the feeling that this could be the best time to play India. Kevin Pietersen is listed as the favourite for England's top batsman and he carries a 3/1 price ahead of Ravi Bopara at 10/3 and Luke Wright at 4/1. Owais Shah is back in form with the bat and he's dropped from a price of 11/2 down to 5/1 alongside Robert Key. Paul Collingwood is at 7/1 while Eoin Morgan carries an 8/1 price. Gautam Gambhir is India's favourite for top batsman with a 10/3 price ahead of Rohit Sharma at 7/2. MS Dhoni can be backed at 4/1 and Suresh Raina sits alongside Yuvraj Singh at 9/2. James Anderson is the favourite to be England's top bowler at 11/4 with Stuart Broad at 3/1 and spinner Graeme Swann at 7/2. Adil Rashid and Dimitri Mascarenhas are picking up steam and are 9/2 and 4/1 respetively. Ryan Sidebottom is 9/2 and Luke Wright is 8/1. Zaheer Khan is 11/4 and Pragyan Ojha is at 7/2. I've got my eye on Ishant Sharma at 3/1 and Harbhajan Singh is always a threat and his 7/2 price is about right. I think England have a chance at this one, but I would be looking to let India bat first if I was them. The chasing side has an advantage in twenty20 and England will need every possible ace hidden up their sleeves.
