With plenty of exciting-looking match-ups taking place, English fans might be forgiven for thinking this one is a bit underwhelming but there is still lots to play for and fans will really be relishing the opportunity for some of England’s newer draftees to light up the scoreboard against opposition that many think will be relatively straightforward.

England are the massive favourites for this one with every single major bookmaker and you’re going to struggle to get a decent outright price on Roy Hodgson’s men. They are a microscopic 1/20 to get the victory here while the draw can be backed at a 12/1 listing - a disaster for England - while a Moldovan victory can be backed at 28/1.

England have won their previous three meetings with Moldova by a combined score of 12-0 so there are plenty of enhanced odds out there on a straight-up 4-0 scoreline for England in this one. England to score in the first 15 minutes (which they have done in 3 of 6 qualifying matches so far) pays out at an enticing price of 2/1.

With an aggressive line-up named by Hodgson - one that looks raring to go - you would do well to back that wager.

It’s very difficult to get a decent price on any of the better England players to score a goal. For instance, you’ve got Liverpool ace Daniel Sturridge priced at a slim 1/4 while Jermain Defoe and Rickie Lambert are both trading at 1/3. Danny Welbeck, who always puts in a quality effort even if he doesn’t score, will be priced around 2/5.

Theo Walcott is a good tip to score here and he’s priced at 4/7 alongside Frank Lampard.

Look for outsiders like Michael Carrick at 8/1 anytime or even Leighton Baines with an 11/2 listing if you’re really looking for a quality goalscorer price.
