England vs Montenegro World Cup Qualifier Betting Tips

After a Friday full of relatively drab World Cup Qualifiers it appears as though the mid-week fixtures coming up are going to be a significant bit more exciting - particularly for England fans. The Three Lions face off against Montenegro in a match that England are expected to win, but comes up against one of those bogey sides where you can totally see your team slipping up if they don’t take it seriously enough or start with enough verve.

England are considered the odds-on favourites to get the better of Montenegro and you’ll find them trading at a 4/5 price with most major bookmakers. The eastern European side can be backed at a full 4/1 price tag while the draw is sitting at a 9/4 listing. 

After putting 8 past San Marino, you can expect England to come into this one with some momentum but they will obviously have to appreciate that Montenegro will offer much more going forward. 

England to win both halves pays out at a tidy 9/4 price. 

The biggest threat will come from Mirko Vucinic and you can back him to score at any point against England with a 7/4 listing. Andrija Delibasic is a 15/8 shout while Stevan Jovetic can be backed at a solid 2/1. 

For England, the starting line-up is still a bit up in the air, but you can probably expect Wayne Rooney to start and he’s at evens to grab an anytime goal and 4/1 to open or close the scoring. Both Daniel Sturridge and Danny Welbeck trade at 5/4 anytime. 

Frank Lampard also scored against San Marino (who didn’t?) and he’s a solid 2/1 for an anytime goal. You can probably expect him to take penalties as well so that’s good value for money if you see him on the team sheet.
