ENGLAND VS NETHERLANDS INTERNATIONAL FRIENDLY BETTING TIPS
The Dutch come into their friendly match with Fabio Capello's England having effectively secured their status in the next World Cup. I think their 5/4 price isn't too far off where it should be, but I think that England definitely have a shot at this one and their 15/8 represents much greater value. The draw sits at 9/4 and that's not exactly a terrible bet either. I think the English will attempt to play the best team possible, minus Steven Gerrard, and the Dutch may use this as an opportunity to experiment a bit more. England have done well under Capello and I think they may click really well, but I'm afraid of a lot of half-time substitutions ruining any momentum England have. That's why friendlies can be difficult to bet on. England to win both halves pays out at 9/2 while the Netherlands to win both halves is listed at 3/1. Draw/England sits at 11/2 while Draw/Netherlands is available at a 4/1 price. The most popular correct score selections seem to be 1-1 and 1-0 to the Dutch with 0-0 listed at 11/2. 1-0 England is 6/1, but I'm a bit more drawn to the 2-2 at 16/1. You can also back England at 11/10 on a draw no bet. In terms of the half-time betting, England are 5/2 while the Dutch are at 15/8. The draw pays 11/10, but I'd go for a first-half goal here. I like England's price and I think they're good value to win the first 45. Wayne Rooney is favoured to be England's first goalscorer at 7/1 and 15/8 to score anytime. Jermain Defoe, Frank Lampard and Emile Heskey are also short-priced. The Dutch are expected to look to Robin Van Persie or Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for their goals, but keep an eye on Wesley Sneijder at 12/1 to score first. I think England definitely have a shot at this and I think there will definitely be goals here. 2-2 is a solid bet, but 2-1 each-way is pretty realistic as well.
