ENGLAND VS. NEW ZEALAND- COMMONWEALTH GAMES HOCKEY BETTING TIPS
England take on New Zealand in the 3rd/4th place Commonwealth Games field hockey event this Thursday, in what is a replay of the knockout round clash between these two nations.
Only 5 days ago England put the Kiwis to the sword with an inspired 5-3 win, including a hat trick by Surrey electrician James Tindall.
In an interview with The Telegraph, Tindall stated; “I have scored 49 goals now, and I could have scored another one, but their keeper had an amazing save right at the end".
England’s progression also comes off the back of a somewhat controversial semi final clash with India, that saw the hosts win a thrilling shoot-out 5-4 after staging a second-half comeback-including the overturn a 3-1 deficit
However, the England team have openly criticised the match claiming were that two of India's penalty shots, as well as their third goal in regulation time were all illegal.
India converted all of their five penalties, while England's Glenn Kirkham missed to allow the Indians a route through to the final against Australia.
Regardless, England will run out to win bronze here with a team highly capable of doing just that.
Paddypower are offering some decent odds on this clash with England decently priced at 1/2, with the New Zealand Blacksticks long at 7/2
A highly likely draw can be locked in at 7/2
Considering the intensity seen in the previous clash between these two, this one could go down to the wire.
In the Commonwealth Games men hockey final, hosts India will be looking to go all the way against tournament favourites Australia.
Again, Paddypower offer the pick of the bets here with a 1/5 setting for Australia, against that of India at 13/2
A draw is placed at 11/2
This game is predictable, with your best bet made on some in-play scoring bets at William Hill once the final is underway.
Betting Tip: England to win at 1/2
