ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA 3RD ODI BETTING TIPS

After England recorded an unexpected victory against the Proteas last weekend, courtesy of a Paul Collingwood masterclass, it appears as though England have failed to sway the bookmakers and they continue to be listed as underdogs on their South African tour.
Top UK bookmaker Ladbrokes has listed AB de Villiers side as the 1.53 favourites to win the 50 overs match, while England are languishing at a 2.37 price tag. This is great value on the English, but you get the feeling that the Saffers will be out there to prove a point after their humiliation at the hands of England. They have been expected to dominate this One-Day series and another poor performance could see heads roll as the selectors will be inclined to make changes.
England have been made slim favourites to win the ODI Series with a 2.75 margin against South Africa’s 3.0. A drawn series remains the favoured outcome with a 2.37 price.
Jonathan Trott is expected to be the dominate run-maker for England and he is paying 4.0 to be named top runscorer for the English side. Andrew Strauss and Kevin Pietersen (known to be comfortable on a South African pitch) can be backed at 4.5 while Joe Denly and Alistair Cook are alongside Paul Collingwood at 6.0. The explosive Eoin Morgan is listed at 8.0 with Matt Prior at 13.0.
De Villiers and Graeme Smith are at 4.5 for South Africa and Herschelle Gibbs is alongside JP Duminy and Hashim Amla at 5.0. This one is competitive, and it’s a bit harder to nail down than the English list.
South Africa are favoured to score the most sixes with a 1.57 price against England’s 2.25. They are also at (+0.5) in the highest opening partner handicap with a 1.83 price.
I think England play with a lot of flair these days and they could be well-poised to record another unlikely victory. Is this the match where Kevin Pietersen gets back on track and puts together a proper total? My signs are pointing to yes. I’ll be backing England to win and Pietersen to put the Saffers to the Sword.
