ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA RUGBY UNION BETTING TIPS
After a disappointing loss against Australia this past weekend, England Hooker Lee Mears has pointed to England's poor scrum as a key reason for defeat. In a recent interview, Mears declared "We were frustrated because we didn't really get going in the scrum. We've come in for a bit of criticism and rightly so."Penalties and freekicks also factored heavily into the equation and it may have been a different story for England if they would have been able to steer clearer of the referee. JERSEYS THE PROBLEM?Interestingly enough, former England hooker Brian Moore pointed to modern changes to the structure of Rugby jerseys as one of the reasons why England are having difficulty holding it together in a scrum. Moore believes that up-front players should be able to wear the older-style kit. Moore stated, "?designed to hinder the would-be tackler, they have the unintended effect of also making it much harder for props to bind in scrums."SA MYSTERY TEAM SHEETAnother potential factor to consider if you're placing any bets on the match is the fact that South Africa are delaying the announcement of their team-sheet until Thursday thanks to all of the question marks over potentially injured players. Gurthro Steenkamp and Bismarck du Plessis are both listed as unlikely to play. My suggestion is to wait until tomorrow before dropping any significant bets, however, I do expect England to address the scrum issues and get a good result at Twickenham on Saturday.
