ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA TWENTY20 BETTING TIPS

Bet365 has installed big-hitting South Africa as the key favourites to take the opening twenty20 fixture in the 2 match series. England, captained by Paul Collingwood, will take to the field at Wanderers with a listing of 13/8 for the outright win while the Proteas are trading at 1/2 and expected to drop lower. There are still some big question marks over top of Kevin Pietersen’s fitness and many are expecting him not to take the field tomorrow night. Either way, Bet365 has listed odds for him at 3/1 alongside Andrew Strauss who will definitely not be playing. I’m not sure why he’s even listed. Whatever, this makes the odds even better on England’s two openers Joe Denly and Alistair Cook who are both available at 4/1. Personally, I think the hot tip here is Jonathan Trott, a South African by birth who is playing for England. He’s trading at 9/2 and I reckon he’ll be able to make things happen for the English. He showed his composure in the face of adversity with a debut century in the deciding test in the Ashes. The stages don’t come much bigger than that one and I firmly expect him to make a very big statement. You’ll find Luke Wright at 5/1, Paul Collingwood at 11/2, Eoin Morgan at 6/1 and Matt Prior available at 8/1. Jacques Kallis is a dominant type of player and him and Graeme Smith are both listed as the 3/1 favourites to dominate for the Proteas. AB De Villiers is a solid selection at 7/2, but I really have to go with the in-form JP Duminy to rack up the runs for the boys in green. He had such an incredible world twenty20, he looks to be a genuine emerging star in the format. He’s available at a very enticing 9/2 price and I am absolutely all over that. In addition to a number of really exciting bets there is also some enticing match-betting between the two teams. One of the oddest is the selection between Graeme Smith and Andrew Strauss with Smith at 4/6 and Strauss at 11/10. Considering the fact that Strauss isn’t going to play, I think I’d put my money on Smith… But I think this one may wind up being void. Smith and Kallis are in a dead-heat against each other at 5/6 and then Strauss is favoured at 8/11 against Jonathan Trott who is available at evens. Again, Strauss isn’t even going to play so I’m not sure what those odds are doing there.
