ENGLAND VS WEST INDIES ODI BETTING TIPS
There is plenty of value to be had on the 1st ODI Match between England and the West Indies. The bookies don't seem to see much between the two teams with both of them listed at 10/11 for the outright victory. As always with cricket, the real action is in the top runscorer and top wicket taker markets. The two outright favourites to score the most points are the two biggest hitters on the pitch (big surprise there) with Kevin Pietersen and Ramnaresh Sarwan both sitting at 11/4. Shivanrine Chanderpaul and Andrew Strauss both come in just behind them listed at 7/2 and 9/2 respectively. Chris Gayle is also listed at 7/2 and other notables for England include a large group sitting at 5/1. Ravi Bopara, Owais Shah, Paul Collingwood, Ian Bell, Steven Davies and Matt Prior are all listed at the same price. Top wicket taker for the West Indies is expected to be Fidel Edwards and he's carrying odds of 11/4 with Dwayne Bravo just behind at 7/2. England's leading wicket taker is surprisingly listed as Stuart Broad also at 11/4. James Anderson sits at 10/3 with Steve Harmison good value at 9/2 if he can discover some of his prior West Indian form. England are favoured for the highest opening partnership, but only by the slightest of margins- 10/11 for West Indies and 4/5 for the Three Lions. West Indies are favoured to win the Most Sixes market, listed at evens with England paying out at 13/10. Pietersen is listed as the outright favourite to win Man of the Match, listed at 7/1 contrasted with Ramnaresh Sarwan at 9/1, Chris Gayle at 10/1 and Shiv Chanderpaul at 11/1. The real value in here for me is Andrew Strauss, listed at 14/1. If England are to win this One-Day Match, I think it will be Strauss and KP doing the heavy lifting. People expect KP to perform, but I think something special from Strauss could affect the outcome even more. RECOMMENDATION:BACK Kevin Pietersen as Top English Runscorer @ 11/4BACK Andrew Strauss as Man of the Match @ 14/1BACK West Indies to score the most sixes @ evens
