ENGLAND WORLD CUP SQUAD REVEALED WHILE BOOKMAKERS RELEASE NEW ODDS FOR GROUP C

It’s been a very interesting morning for English football fans with the final 23 names being listed for the official World Cup squad. The biggest omission was likely Theo Walcott, who had started several friendly matches but apparently wasn’t up to snuff. Darren Bent also misses out and that will be a disappointment to a lot of fans- especially ones who favour his brand of swashbuckling football.

Additionally, Adam Johnson, Scott Parker, Michael Dawson, Leighton Baines and Tom Huddlestone are all going to miss the ride to South Africa. Interestingly enough, Gareth Barry has passes a late fitness test but will still likely miss the first few matches.
Top UK bookmaker William Hill has priced England at 3/10 to win their group with the USA trading at 9/2. Slovenia is priced at 10/1 and Algeria is an unlikely 16/1 candidate. In regards to outright qualification, England are a very slim 1/16 while the USA trade at 8/13. Slovenia are 7/4 while Algeria look to have it all to do at a 10/3 price.
If you’re looking to bet against qualification, Algeria are at 1/5 while Slovenia are at 2/5. USA trade at 6/5 while England are a lengthy 7/1.
William Hill has also revealed forecast betting for Group C and the most likely option looks to be England/USA at an 11/8 margin. I think that’s a very solid bet above even money. England/Slovenia is priced at 10/3 while USA/England is a 5/1 price. England/Algeria is trading at 11/2.
Algeria are odds-on to finish bottom with a 4/5 price. Slovenia are available at 7/4 while USA are at 9/2. England are at 40/1 to finish bottom and that will be a bet for the anti-England brigade.
You can back England to win all of their group matches at a fairly tidy 15/8. The biggest worry there would be if England have already qualified and they wind up drawing the final match by not playing their first-team line-up.
