The action kicks off early with United the steep favourites to topple Crystal Palace - who have put in a good shift here and there so far this season. You reckon that United are actually a bit vulnerable at this point and these new promoted clubs seem to have a lot more fight in them than many individuals initially pictured.
The bookmakers have United priced at a very slim 1/5 listing while Palace are a full 12/1 shot to get the victory at Old Trafford. The draw is 11/2 and, if United ship an early goal or just don’t really show up to play, then you could see that actually looking like a solid bet.
Things are a bit up in the air with Moyes right now following two disappointing results against key title rivals. United’s odds for the Premier League title continue to climb and they are sitting in third place right now.
Aston Villa have gotten off the mark fairly well this season and trade as the 11/10 favourites to get the better of Newcastle United. They look sharp up front and seem to be playing some inspired stuff at the moment. Newcastle are priced at 13/5 and trade at 23/10 for the draw, which you reckon they would be happy to take.
Stoke host Manchester City and this one looks like a very interesting fixture with City trading as the 8/13 away favourites. Stoke can be backed at a 9/2 price tag and look like they will be able to push City if they can keep the game scoreless in the first half or even take the lead at some point.
