English Premier League Betting Preview PT 1

It’s almost time for another round of English Premier League action as the weekend promises more excitement and some very interesting betting opportunities around the fixtures unfolding. Expect a lot of attention paid to the massive clash on Sunday as Manchester United host Manchester City at Old Trafford in what is sure to be an absolute barn-burner.

Things kick off at 3 pm on Saturday with no early fixture since we’ve got four matches instead of three unfolding on the Sunday. Arsenal vs Everton holds the feature slot for Saturday as the late kick-off and you’ll see the Gunners heavily favoured to get the result at home against the Toffees. They were defeated by Manchester United last week by a fairly emphatic 3-0 scoreline - a result made worse by the fact that it came at Goodison Park. 

Arsenal come into their match-up against Roberto Martinez’s men at a slim 4/11 price tag while their counterparts from Liverpool can be backed at a hefty 13/2 margin right now. Look for the draw trading at a 15/4 price with many assuming that Everton would be more than happy to walk away from the Emirates with just a single point in this contest. 

West Ham are hosting Chelsea in what looks to be the most exciting of the 3:00 fixtures, at least on paper. There aren’t many who would have told you that the Hammers would be well above Chelsea in the table, sitting in one of the Champions League slots while the Blues were languishing in lower mid-table and looking a bit of a mess from the outside looking in. 

However, the bookmakers do seem to be favouring Chelsea here with the Blues commanding an odds-on price of 10/11 while West Ham are trading at a 13/2 margin to get the result in front of their home fans.
