ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS FOR AUGUST 22 AND 23
William Hill has some stellar odds together for this weekend's football if you aren't glued to your TV watching the Ashes! It was certainly a weekend to remember and even a mid-week to remember as the Premier League hasn't even seen a single draw yet. And they say all the excitement is in the Spanish League- that's a load of tapas. You can back the Big 4 Enhanced Accumulator at 31/10 to see Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Liverpool all record victories. In my opinion, the toughest draw there is Chelsea who play Fulham away. The Cottagers are in quality form and this London Derby will be keenly contested in a way it hasn't been in previous years. Chelsea are 4/7 for the victory, but I'm all over Fulham at their 11/2 price. That's my long-shot tip for the weekend and even the draw looks enticing at 13/5. I expect Fulham's defence to frustrate Chelsea's strikers and I have a feeling that it could be a very slim 1-0 margin. Arsenal are big favourites at 1/6 over Portsmouth- and Pompey look in bad shape already. Portsmouth are a titanic 18/1 to beat Arsenal. The draw pays 11/2. If you think Arsenal have been deceiving people, this is the match to bet on. Birmingham are 13/10 to beat Stoke who carry an 11/5 price away from home. The draw is also at 11/5 and it must be encouraging for Birmingham to see their price listed so low. This is a tough one to call, but Stoke are the value bet. Manchester City are heavy favourites to dispatch of Wolves at 4/11 at Eastlands. The away team are listed at a massive 9/1 and I don't really see them getting a huge amount of results outside Molineux. The draw is 10/3 but City's strike force should get the job done here. Hull face a must win match against Bolton. Phil Brown's men are listed at 6/4- the slim favourites over Wanderers at 15/8. The draw sits at 11/5 and that might be the safer option here. Not a lot of money to be made on this one truth be told, it really could go either way. Sunderland are nearly at evens to beat Blackburn. 11/10 for the Black Cats as Sam Allardyce's men are listed at 13/5. The draw pays out at 11/5 and you can count on Sunderland getting on the scoresheet here. Blackburn is another story. Manchester United had a big set-back in midweek, but they usually drop a few points early in the season. Fergie will play a strong side, mark my words, and I expect the return of the Berbatov/Rooney tandem. They are 8/15 to beat Wigan who are listed at a very long 6/1. The draw pays out at 11/4, but I really fancy United in this one. That's solid value on the price and I would back Valencia to score against his old side. Liverpool take on Aston Villa at home and carry a 4/9 price against Martin O'Neill's sides' 7/1 listing. The draw is 3/1 and not bad value if you think this is where Villa get their season back on track. West Ham are at 21/10 to beat Tottenham, who look like they're really going to give it a go this year. Spurs are a short 13/10 and this London Derby should be an exciting one. On form, I can't back anyone but Spurs.
