ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS FOR OCTOBER 3

There are some solid fixtures happening on Saturday, but I would have to say that the better matches are slated for kick-off on Sunday. Regardless, plenty of betting opportunities exist as it is difficult to put much between some of these teams. The Burnley vs Birmingham game is a tough call, but Burnley have been so good at home this year that I think they could grab all three points. Hull vs Wigan is an interesting one and Wigan will be buoyed by their victory over Chelsea last weekend. The shortest odds of the day is Manchester United over Sunderland. United are at 1/5 with William Hill while Sunderland carry a whopping 16/1 price. They are a side that can score goals and United's defence has looked a bit shaky. If you're a neutral, you may see this as a bit of a value bet. Regardless, I think United will outscore Sunderland but it's a good opportunity to push for a high-scoring correct score bet. 3-2 to United pays an enticing 25/1. I will also be backing Rooney to score a brace. Bolton host Tottenham and Spurs are odds-on at 19/20 against Bolton's 16/5. Harry Redknapp's side have done fairly well so far, but their excellent start has begun to sputter a bit. Bolton are a tough side, but not quite as difficult to play against as they have been in past years. I think Spurs should pull this one off because their strikers are just such a handful. I like a 3-1 margin at 14/1. Wolves vs Portsmouth is another interesting match-up and I think Molineux could prove to be the difference here. Pompey are just getting it all wrong this year and, with players wondering if they will even get paid on time, you can't expect them to come out with much momentum. I think evens is about the right price for Wolves and Pompey pay 3/1 for the win. I think 2-0 or even 1-0 is about right and you're looking at 7/1 and 11/2 for those selections. Burnley vs Birmingham should go towards Burnley if their form this season is any indication. They're at 6/5, which is a bit short, but I still think they're a good tip on a draw no bet at 29/50. Hull City vs Wigan is a must-win for Phil Brown and, if there are problems at Hull, they will be on display here. I think Wigan should take be able to take this one, but I could see Hull nipping this one at the last minute. 1-0 to Hull pays 13/2. English Premiership Accumulator Tip: Manchester United x Tottenham x Wolves x Burnley x Hull City = 29.88
