ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE BETTING TIPS RUNDOWN DECEMBER 5
Blue Square is boasting quality odds for the English Premiership every week and we're here to give you a few ideas for today's Premier League fixtures. The early fixture is Portsmouth vs Burnley and Avram Grant will likely see this as his best chance to get 3 points, and his first victory as Pompey manager. Blue Square fancies them to get the job done and they're priced at 5/6 while Burnley trade at 7/2. The draw is available at 12/5. Burnley are a better team, according to points, and they are well-priced to keep Pompey's frustrations compounding. If these players only just found out they're getting paid for last month, how hard can we expect them to play?
Stoke City beat Arsenal last year and they are listed at a whopping 11/1 to do so again. Arsenal are short-priced at 3/10 and may struggle against Stoke's physical style of play. Arsenal need to keep their wits about them on set-pieces, but they should do enough to win this one. My money's on the gunners.
Hull City are making progress, and thats good news for Phil Brown. Aston Villa are well-positioned in the table and heavily-favoured for this one at 4/9. Jimmy Bullard & Co. are listed at 13/2 for the win with a draw at 16/5. Hull will be shooting for a draw here and that would be a nice result, but they may need a little too much help to beat Villa if the hosts are on song.
Livervpool are expecting Torres back in this fixture and they are 4/5 for the win against Rovers. Blackburn aren't out of the question at 7/2, but I fancy a big 4 sweep today. Liverpool may concede early and a second half fightback could be the order of the day.
Manchester United visit West Ham and Gianfranco Zola's side are at 7/1 against United's 4/9. Their players will be rested and Rooney is fresh off a hat-trick last week. United all the way here.
Wigan vs Birmingham is a real toss-up and it depends on which Wigan team shows up. They've been inconsistent, to say the least, and they are available at 11/10 against Brum's 13/5. A 1-1 draw wouldn't surprise me and you can take one point each for a 9/4 price.
Little between Wolves and Bolton with the home side at 11/8 and Bolton carrying a 2/1 listing. I have no clue where this one is going and I'm leaving it out of my accumulator.
Man City vs Chelsea will be profiled in more depth in another article, but the Blues have the momentum and the form to dispose of Mark Hughes City threat. I anticipate the Citizens to start with 3 up front, but I think we may see another Didier Drogba show. Chelsea are 17/20 and City carry a 10/3 price. I'm backing Carlo Ancellotti's side here.
