English Premier League Betting Update
- By A.J. Ryder on August 19, 2018 17:25 GMTThings appear to have gone from bad to worse for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side and they have dropped points at an early stage in the season against a side that they were certainly fancied to have gotten the better of in their latest EPL fixture.
Now we have seen the Red Devils drift up to a hefty price to pull off a surprise English Premier League victory and their cross-town rivals Manchester City were able to make a big statement by pulling off a massive 6-1 victory punctuated by a Sergio Aguero hat trick.
Not only are United’s odds on the drift but we have also seen Jose Mourinho now ranked as the most likely manager to leave his post at the current point in time. This comes on the heels of a tricky off-season for Manchester United where Mourinho has looked anything but happy and certainly not acting like the special one from a couple of years ago.
The blue side of Manchester are listed at a slim odds-on price to pull off a victory come the end of the season and raise the trophy once again. Some sniping back and forth between Guardiola and Mourinho over the past week has certainly looked to have played out in Pep’s favour as opposed to Jose.
Liverpool are now considered to be the second favourites to get the victory over the course of the season and Chelsea have done themselves some favours as well by dispatching Arsenal on Saturday. The odds are certainly going to shift around a bit more over the next few months but it already looks to be done and dusted at the top of the league according to the bookmakers.
