English Premier League Betting Update
- By A.J. Ryder on June 24, 2019 15:54 GMTWhile it may seem as though the season ended a few weeks ago we are now just about a month away from the kick off of the English Premier League season on August 9th. There is plenty to like about the way that the new season is shaping up and you can bank on plenty of really interesting wagers being available since last year’s league was such an exciting iteration.

Manchester City are the favourites to retain their title this upcoming season and the bookmakers have them priced around a 4/6 margin to do so. That odds-on price is probably going to be a bit unpopular with the betting public since there are much better odds out there on a season-long wager.
Liverpool will probably be doing brisk business at the 11/4 the bookmakers have them floated at right now and that price will likely drop if they can get off to another impressive start to the season. Retaining their top players is going to be a key priority and there have been rumours that high-flying striker Mohammed Salah may be seeking a new challenge at Real Madrid.
Salah and Harry Kane trade as the favourites to be named the English Premier League top goalscorer next year and you’ll find them both hovering around an 11/2 price to get the job done.
The bookmakers seem to think that it’s only going to come down to City and Liverpool next year since the next best-priced team is Spurs who can be backed around a 16/1 price tag, while Chelsea are more than double that with a 33/1 listing right now.
Manchester United can be backed as high as 50/1 to win the English Premier League while Arsenal are trading around a 70/1 price.
