English Premier League Betting Update PT 1

While we are just seeing the International qualifiers unfolding over the past couple of days, attention is going to be turning soon towards the English Premier League once again as we get closer and closer to the weekend. There was plenty of interesting international action over the last couple of days.

One has to hope that the disgraceful scenes we saw during the Bulgaria-England contest won’t be repeated and that the host side will be held accountable for their fans. 

In the English Premier League itself, it now looks like Liverpool are in pole position to finally secure the title this season and you’ll find them a full eight points clear at the top of the table. There is quite a log jam of familiar and unfamiliar sides fighting it out for the spots anywhere from second place all the way down to eighth with only a couple of points separating them all. 

Manchester United continue to languish in mid-table and you have to assume that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is going to be feeling the pressure quite a bit as we get closer and closer to the next set of difficult fixtures. Twelfth place is certainly going to put a smile on Liverpool supporters faces but the fact remains that the Red Devils cannot stay like this much longer and a change will be needed at the top. 

Ole’s record since capturing the job permanently has been extremely underwhelming and the needed reinforcements did not arrive over the summer break. This has complicated United’s problems substantially.
