English Premier League Betting Update PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on January 20, 2020 20:08 GMTIt appears as though the bookmakers have decided that the English Premier League title race has been more or less completed after Liverpool were able to pull off a significant victory against Manchester United in front of their home fans at the weekend.
Their victory against OGS’ men solidified their position at the top of the table and Liverpool remain undefeated so far this season and there are few reasons to think that they may lose a match at all.
As it currently stands, the bookmakers have Liverpool trading at a 1/40 price tag to win the English Premier League and, while there is not a huge amount of value to be found there, it does seem a virtual certainty at this point. Manchester City are still a ways off Liverpool and you can find them trading at an 80/1 price.
Most of the action right now seems to be happening at the bottom of the table and you'll find that the bookmakers think Norwich City are the most likely candidates for relegation and they are being listed at a 1/7 price tag to drop down to the Championship next season. They also are joined by the likes of Bournemouth and Aston Villa with all three of those clubs trading at odds on prices to drop down to the second tier of English football.
It looks like one of the most competitive markets that remains in the English Premier League is going to be the race for top goal scorer and things are getting particularly interesting since Harry Kane and Marcus Rashford are both sidelined with injuries at this point.
