We’ve just had another really fascinating weekend of action unfold in the English Premier League and it looks like the league table is setting up for a grandstand finish in the race for the four Champions League positions. It appears as though the league looks likely to head back to the blue side of Manchester with City now a full ten points clear at the top of the table.

With most sides having played 25 matches already, City have put their mid-season lull to rest and have rattled off a steady stream of impressive victories since the new year has resumed. 

Liverpool, on the other hand, have gone completely off the boil and have now lost to Everton for the first time in nearly 20 years in Saturday’s Merseyside Derby contest. Things are going from bad to worse for Jurgen Klopp but it doesn’t look like they are settling into panic mode at this point either, despite them dropping out of the top four positions. 

Right now, City look to reign supreme with United and Leicester City both playing some impressive stuff and sitting on 45 points apiece, though United is ahead on goal difference. 

West Ham have put together a really nice run of form under David Moyes and they are sitting clear in fourth spot and have taken some really nice wins from top clubs so far this season. There is a lot to like about their style of play and they might be thinking that a season in Europe next year isn’t so far-fetched.
