Jurgen Klopp’s side look to be playing some of their best football in a long time and, while nobody really wants to come right out and say it, things are definitely going Liverpool’s way at the moment and this really could be “their year”.
Manchester City dropped points in their last match-up, which has seen Liverpool add to their advantage and it’s going to be interesting to see if Pep Guardiola’s men can bounce back easily enough. City face a Leicester team that they are heavily fancied to beat but Leicester have shown that they can tangle with virtually anybody on their day.
If City are able to notch a solid victory here - and let’s face it - everybody expects them to do so then they will be able to keep the pressure on Liverpool but anything less than a win will have everybody asking questions about whether they have taken their foot off the gas.
City were effectively thought to be walking their way to the English Premier League title once again but Liverpool have shown that it may not be so easy.
Chelsea have a contest against Watford that they are widely expected to win and they will be looking to get things back on track as well after having lost out a few days ago as well.
