They go into their contest four points clear at the top and face off against 15th place Newcastle who seem to be struggling to gain any momentum in the English Premier League and remain dangerously close to a relegation dogfight if they lose a few matches over the Holiday season.

If City are able to notch a solid victory here - and let’s face it - everybody expects them to do so then they will be able to keep the pressure on Liverpool but anything less than a win will have everybody asking questions about whether they have taken their foot off the gas.

City were effectively thought to be walking their way to the English Premier League title once again but Liverpool have shown that it may not be so easy.

Chelsea have a contest against Watford that they are widely expected to win and they will be looking to get things back on track as well after having lost out a few days ago as well.
