ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE CORRECT SCORE PREDICTIONS AND BETTING TIPS FOR DEC 20 AND 21
Another exciting weekend of Premier League insanity- this time devoid of Man United who are undergoing a training session against 4th rate clubs in Japan for some reason. Regardless, the EPL will soldier on without them and I'm really looking forward to this weekend's action as a lot of stories could be either wrapped up, or made much more complicated depending on this weekend's results. Obviously, a large number of eyes will be fixed on Saturday's clash between Blackburn and Stoke City. Sam Allardyce isn't exactly held in the highest esteem by English football fans and if he fails to take a full three points against Stoke, then you can only imagine the shit-storm that will ensue. Hull vs Sunderland will likely be a real barn-burner and I think the Tigers will go into this match with a lot of momentum after holding Liverpool last week. Sunday's Arsenal vs Liverpool match-up is the main fixture of the entire weekend and this one could really have an impact on how those teams shape up heading into the new year and the January transfer window. I know for a fact that there are certain Liverpool players who are playing for their positions right now and Robbie Keane is chief among them. He needs to get off the bench, he needs to start scoring goals and he needs to prove to Rafa that he can make a difference. So, here goes, this weekend's Premier League predictions:Blackburn vs Stoke: If Stoke get an early goal, watch out. I'm confident we'll see 0-0 ay halftime and then a bit of Roque Santa Cruz. This won't be a walk in the park for Blackburn. 2-1 to Rovers pays 13/2 @ Paddy Power!Bolton vs Pompey: The southerners have really been touch and go for the past while. Winning matches they shouldn't win and then losing matches that they should have had. It's tough to know what's going to happen and although I'm not a huge Bolton fan, I think this will wind up edging towards Bolton. 1-0 to Wanderers pays 6/1 @ Paddy Power!Fulham vs Middlesbrough: Fulham are having, by their standards, a fairly successful season and it seems as though Roy Hodgson has brought some much-needed stability to the club. Let's just hope they hang onto Jimmy Bullard. Boro are out of form now and I'm going to have to favour the Cottagers. 2-0 to Fulham pays 17/2 @ Paddy Power!Hull vs Sunderland: I like Hull. I like their battling mentality, I like the way they run at defences and I like the way that they can go toe-to-toe with the big clubs. They remind me of the kid in the neighbourhood who was smaller than everybody else, but always up for a fight. Back 'em all the way and I can see this being one of their results of the season. Phil Brown's men are setting an example for every other Championship side that comes up. 3-0 to Hull pays 20-1 @ Paddy Power!West Ham vs Villa: This one should favour Villa, who have much better quality players at their disposal than West Ham. 2-1 to Villa with West Ham making it tight in the later stages. 2-1 win to Villa pays 15/2 @ Paddy Power!West Brom vs Man City: Mark Hughes could find himself not just in hot water, but a full-on roiling boil if his players can't beat West Brom at home. He will have the team fired up for this one and I just can't see where West Brom get the goals from. 2-0 to City pays 10-1 @ Paddy Power! Newcastle vs Tottenham: This is a fairly evenly-matched contest with Spurs looking in slightly better form. I think they'll be buoyed by their mid-week rescue against Spartak and that will have helped the team's moreale. I'm going to back Spurs, but Michael Owen will stamp his mark on this match as well. Could be a tricky one. 2-1 to Tottenham pays 17-2 @ Paddy Power!Arsenal vs Liverpool: This is the big headliner of the weekend and could be a really excellent example of Premiership-style attacking football or it could wind up being a total snooze. I think Liverpool have more to play for, but a draw seems the likeliest outcome. 2-2 match that will be one of the better ones of the season, paying 12/1 @ Paddy Power. They've also got a money-back promo on this one where if a team is leading at halftime and fails to win, 1st/last goalscorer, correct scorer and scorecast singles will be refunded. Everton vs Chelsea: I expect the Toffees to be a real test for Chelsea. They didn't get the result they wanted last week against West Ham and I think that Everton will be able to match them for the first 75 minutes. I have a feeling this one will be won in the latter stages, but I'm going to back a draw for safety. 1-1 pays 5-1 @ Paddy Power!
