ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE JANUARY 26 LATEST LIVE TIPS
We’re just a few minutes away from kick-off with four solid Premiership fixtures on offer for your viewing and punting pleasure. We’ve got a relegation six-pointer happening with Portsmouth vs West Ham, while Liverpool look to make a play for fourth spot as they take on relegation-threatened Wolves. Spurs vs Fulham looks a proper London Derby and Bolton Wanderers take on Burnley in a match that is a bit more important for Bolton than Burnley. This one will see Owen Coyle going back up against his old club, just a few weeks after leaving.
Portsmouth vs West Ham is the most open game with Pompey trading at 7/5 and the Hammers (in dire need of 3 points) listed as the 19/10 outsiders. I would say this one is pretty close, Portsmouth have some quality players but the team just seems to be a mess. They haven’t played at home in quite some time and will be looking to give the fans a good day out. The Hammers have just been bought by the Davids and they will need another year of Premiership football if they’re to do anything about the debt left-over by the Icelandic consortium that ruled the club. Icelandic folk leaving behind a financial mess? Nah…..
I think this one has 0-0 written all over it, you’ll find that priced at 15/2 with Blue Square. 1-1 wouldn’t surprise me either, but that’s a very short 11/2.
Wolves vs Liverpool is a must-win for Liverpool and a “we’d like to draw” for Wolves, I think. The Scouse side are just a point off of fourth place and will make a big statement if they can return to the top 4 thanks to a great performance from their talisman Steven Gerrard. You can read our full preview of the Wolves vs Liverpool affair, but we suggest backing Liverpool 2-0 at 13/2.
Bolton vs Burnley is an interesting one and you’ll see that Bolton are favoured with an odds-on price of 4/5. Burnley trade at 7/2 and although Bolton have put together a few decent performances lately, I actually think Burnley are pretty good value for money here. I like them on the outright price.
Spurs vs Fulham should be a cracking fixture and we also gave that one a further profile today. Tottenham haven’t won in a few matches and their 6/10 price is just a bit too short for me. I think the draw is a very realistic possibility here and you’ll find that priced at 11/4.
If you took our picks and stacked them on an acca- you’re looking at a very solid payout!
