English Premier League New Years Fixtures Preview PT 2
- By A.J. Ryder on December 29, 2014 17:24 GMTUnited face off against Stoke in the opening fixture and they go into the match with a relatively tidy price of 9/10 to get the away result against The Potters. You can back Stoke City at a 3/1 margin while the draw is trading at a competitive 13/5. United named an unchanged line-up last match for the first time in eons and it will be worth watching to see how Louis Van Gaal lines up his attack this time.

With Wayne Rooney settling into a central midfield role, it appears as though that move is there to stay with United now able to play Mata, Van Persie and Falcao all at once. You reckon that once Angel Di Maria is back and available that United will be back with the firepower and incisive attacking skill that we have seen in some of their more superior matches from the last season.
After the early fixture, we’ve got a full slate of matches ready to go and you’ll find Aston Villa trading as the betting choice to win against Crystal Palace. The Villains are priced at a 13/10 margin and look decent value for money against a Crystal Palace side that tends to struggle on their travels. You’ll find the draw priced at a 9/4 listing while the London club are a 23/10 shot to get a much-needed away victory. The key here is Villa’s defence and if they have a stellar match then they genuinely have every chance.
Hull take on Everton, a side who really are starting to falter a bit in the league. The Toffees have strung together an unimpressive sequence of tame results and they need to start pushing forward here if they are to challenge for a Europa League place against the slew of teams that have really improved this season.
While it may not be a must-win fixture for Everton, they will look at this as the type of match they really should be winning and you can bank on Hull coming out and giving them a hard time. The Tigers are a team that doesn’t win all the time but usually puts up a good fight so expect them to be buoyed by their home support here.
