English Premier League Outright Betting Tips PT 2

Looking ahead to the wagering odds on the end of the season, however, and it looks like the bookmakers are still heavily favouring Manchester City to come good and pull off some solid stuff by the time May rolls around. The vast majority of UK and European-based bookmakers are floating them at a slim 1/2 margin which really doesn't connote much value at all when you figure there are still 32 games left to be played by each team this season.

The bookmakers seem to consider Arsenal to be the biggest rival right now to Manchester City and they are priced them at an 11/2 margin to win the English Premier League and, though they have been playing some decent stuff lately, the fact remains that they are Arsenal and will find some way to cock it up between now and the run-in.

It might not seem entirely convincing at times but Manchester United are looming large in a potential title chase – particularly if City drop more points in the coming weeks as United look to be stringing together a decent run of form domestically after their 3-2 reverse against Southampton on Sunday with Anthony Martial making a massive statement scoring his first three goals from his first three shots on target for the Red Devils.

Louis Van Gaal's men are priced at a 13/2 margin to finish at the top of the Premier League table this season and there will probably be some who reckon they just might pull it off. Should Manchester City lose two or three players for extended periods of time then things could get awful interesting extremely quickly.

Chelsea remain at a 7/1 margin right now to win the Premier League and it would likely require a near-perfect run of form between now and the end of the season. One has to wonder whether Chelsea can really do that with the talent that's available to them in the current playing condition that we are seeing now. They can certainly turn things around and qualify for the Champions League once again if their result against Arsenal is anything to go by, but they will need something extra – much extra – to pull off an unlikely title bid.

Liverpool are – get this – fifth choice at 100/1 for this to be “their year.”
