ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE OVERVIEW- SEPTEMBER 17 TIPS AND PREDICTIONS
This weekend bears witness to yet another thrilling chapter in the drama that is the English Premier League.
There are some real humdingers, coupled with some real one-siders...yet the fact remains, that this is truly the greatest league on the planet.
To slowly ease everyone into the afternoon is one of the more low-key clashes where Stoke take on West Ham at the Brittania Stadium. Few are giving West Ham much chance in this one, with William Hill setting them at 4.5, to Stoke’s 1.8.
West Ham seems a side in disarray at the moment, having lost all four of their league matches, conceding twelve times and scoringjust twice all season.
Next up Aston Villa host Bolton for what, if both teams get going, could be an interesting tussle. Villa are favoured at 1.73, to Bolton's 5.0.
This mismatch is partly due to Villa having won both of their home matches, as well as yet having to concede a goal at Villa Park.
The Trotters did beat West Ham at Upton Park in their last away game, and are playing good attacking football this season...so could be a lot tighter than these odds suggest
Fulham travel to Ewood Park for what is shaping up to be an absolute classic.
Current Fulham manager Mark Hughes knows the ground well, having cut his teeth in the Premiership under Blackburn support, and will be looking to cement his place at Fulham with an away win.
Hughes has resisted making any dramatic changes since taking over at the Cottage; however the loss of star striker Bobby Zamora will force his creativity in this match-up. Allardyce's Blackburn outfit are firm favourites at 4.0 to hold poor travellers Fulham at 2.0.
However, Fulham's dreadful away from has to end at some point, with many viewing this as the opportune moment- this could be the one to earn your bread...
Next up, the Magpies travel to take on Everton in another clash that defy the odds.
The Toffees are coming off a thrilling 3-3 draw to United, and if anything are oozing confidence
Play this up against the Geordie contingent having suffered a shock loss to minnows Blackpool and you have a thrilling affair. It will see a riveting midfield battle, with Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan going up against Mikel Arteta and Steven Pienaar.
Both teams possess the ability, and without doubt both teams will be heading out with nothing than a win on their minds.
William Hill place Everton as significant favourites at 1.61, however a draw seems very likely, with rather enticing odds at 3.75
Tottenham play host to Mick McCarthy's Wolves side in a game that you feel Spurs should waltz through- considering the confidence present coming off their mid-week Europe win...but then again...this all seems somewhat de ja vu to their shock loss to Wigan 3 weeks ago.
Harry will simply not allow the same come Saturday. Spurs will win this one, and look a great bet at 1.44
The Gunners travel to the Stadium of Light to take on Sunderland in what will probably be the afternoon thrill that all expect.
Arsenal are rampant at present, and should comfortably outplay Sunderland in all aspects. With Fabregas in full flight, Arsenal should take this with odds at 1.67- a nice little earner
All in all, there are a ton of money-makers present with some 'safe' bets in the form of Arsenal and Spurs providing some rather lucrative returns for those punters willing to lay it all on the line
