ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE PREDICTIONS AND SATURDAY ACCUMULATOR TIPS
The Premier League fixtures for Saturday, September 11 offer up plenty of value and it looks likely that this is a good weekend for accumulator bets as there doesn't look to be many draws.
Manchester United vs Everton is a great way to open the day with the 12:45 fixture seeing United travelling to Goodison Park. The Wayne Rooney subplot is bound to dominate the headlines, but the bookies still fancy United to take this one. Bet365 has them priced at a 10/11 listing while the hosts are trading at 16/5. The draw is at 12/5 but Everton don't seem to have things on track at the moment and United will take this one if they play their usual game.
Arsenal vs Bolton is an attractive betting opportunity for Wanderers fans as the Gunners have lost two key first-team players over the international break in Robin Van Persie and Theo Walcott. Bolton's odds to beat Arsenal are listed at 12/1 while the Gunners are 1/4 to win the match at home. The draw is a hefty 9/2 and, while Arsenal SHOULD win this, I wouldn't begrudge any neutrals having a bash on a Bolton side that looks effective and hard to play against.
Fulham vs Wolves has the Cottagers as odds-on favourites with a 5/6 price to topple Mick McCarthy's men who are listed at 7/2. The draw is available at 5/2 and, at first glance, one thinks this is more likely than most other fixtures to wind up as a draw, but Wolves will likely wind up pushing forward more than usual as they will see this as a winnable fixture. Fulham have the better players but Wolves have the grit. Toss-up, this one.
Manchester City vs Blackburn has the Citizens as slim 1/3 favourites over the 9/1 Rovers. City look short of form as a team, but they may be able to rely on individual performances here. There are already whispers that David Silva's happiness at City is being called into question, top Spanish clubs are reportedly monitoring the situation. Something looks amiss at City and it looks like Blackburn's only chance is to score first and try to win this 1-0.
Newcastle vs Blackpool sees two promoted sides come together in a sharply one-sided-looking match. The Magpies are priced at 4/7 while Blackpool are a lengthy 5/1. Newcastle look a team reborn and the in-form Andy Carroll is already being linked with an England place. Blackpool need to take at least a point here or things will start going from bad to worse.
West Brom vs Spurs looks like a great betting opportunity for Tottenham fans with an 11/10 price on offer from Bet365. West Brom are trading at 11/4 as the host side and the draw is available at 9/4. The issue with Tottenham right now is that they're just so inconsistent but at a price above even money, you really have to opt for them over West Brom.
West Ham vs Chelsea looks a lopsided London Derby and Carlo Ancelotti's men are trading at 1/3 while the hosts are at 9/1. Backing Chelsea seems like the best plan every week and its obvious that West Ham are out of their depth here.
Wigan vs Sunderland is likely the most even fixture of the weekend and there are some great prices on offer. Wigan are trading as the 6/4 hosts while the Black Cats can be backed at 15/8. Sunderland have a better strike-force but if Wigan play to the standard they set two weeks ago then they'll be tough to deal with. This one is is another toss-up.
If you're looking to play an accumulator selection and aren't feeling particularly adventurous, try United x Arsenal x Fulham x Newcastle x Tottenham x Chelsea at 18.05. Swapping Bolton instead of Arsenal on that accumulator amplifies it to 197.2.
