English Premier League Relegation Betting

This season of the English Premier League should prove to be one of the most fascinating in recent memory with a lot of top players and sides with everything to play for coming back into the reckoning over the next couple of weeks. With a lot of excitement expected at the top of the table, where Manchester City remain odds on favourites to secure another trophy, you can also expect a real dogfight at the bottom of the table.

It’s probably not a dramatic surprise that the three sides moving up from the English Championship are all favoured for the drop at the end of the season.

Norwich City are the prime candidates for relegation and the bookmakers have them priced at even money to drop straight down through the trapdoor back to the Championship. They have been able to establish themselves as a genuine English Premier League side in the past and their support always turns up so there will be some football observers who feel as though they have every opportunity of staying up.

Watford are a close second for the drop with the bookmakers pricing them at a 19/17 listing to go down at the end of the season. Watford are definitely one of those in-between sides that seem too good for the Championship but not good enough to establish themselves in the Premier League and we could see that happen again this time around.

Brentford are the surprise package and the bookmakers have them trading around a 21/17 price tag with a lot of punters thinking that they will be the one out of the three promoted clubs to stay up. There’s a lot to like about their style of play.

Crystal Palace are considered the most likely non-promoted side for the drop and you can back them to go down at a 20/11 best price.
