ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE RELEGATION BETTING: BLACKPOOL FOR THE DROP

The Relegation Betting market over at Betfair is still showing Blackpool favoured for the drop down to the Championship at the end of the season. It looked like a perfect start for them this time out after they demolished Wigan Athletic 4-0 on the opening day, but things have sort of gone a bit pear-shaped since then, with many bookies and betting exchanges now pricing them as heavy favourites to drop through the trap-door.
All the other places look pretty much up for grabs as West Brom and Wigan currently carry prices short enough to drop them into the other two relegation spots if things lined up according to the odds.
As it currently stands, Blackpool are short-priced at 1.38 for the drop while West Brom are trading at 2.3 and Wigan are at 2.34.
West Ham's relegation odds look plausible and they're trading at 2.72 for the drop. Following West Ham, the odds take a big jump to Stoke City and Wolves, who are priced out at around 5.5 and 5.7 at the moment.
Newcastle are trading at 7.2 and only a tough spate of injuries would do them in, in my book at least. Newcastle look relatively safe and I think they're capable of finish mid-table if they continue to play solid stuff.
Bolton's odds to be relegated are at 7.4 and they look to be just fine at the moment and are actually looking sharper than they have in recent years. Birmingham are trading at 8.6 for the drop and I simply think they're too good to go down.
Sunderland are a lengthy 9.4 for the drop, and I also think they'll do just fine with another season of mid-table consolidation. Fulham are 11.5 for the drop and I reckon Mark Hughes has things under control. Blackburn are priced at 17.0 and then the odds take another big jump.
Aston Villa's odds for relegation are priced at 46.0 with Everton just behind them at 48.0 on Betfair. Neither of these sides are doing particularly well at the moment and I think there may be a few Birmingham and Liverpool fans who may fancy a cheeky bet here.
