English Premier League Relegation Betting PT 1

It looks as though we are going to have a really interesting race for relegation now that things have effectively been decided at the top of the English Premier League. There is plenty of interesting permutations ahead of us as we move into the final ⅓ of the season.

At this point in time, the bookmakers seem to consider Norwich effectively relegated and that’s not entirely a big surprise considering the fact that they have not been able to amass any types of results over the last few weeks following the holiday fixtures. 

They are sitting on a measly 18 points and have virtually no way to get themselves back into contention unless they start stringing together a series of victories over the next few weeks and they will need to start making moves right away if they are to have any chance of salvaging this season and attempting to remain in the English Premier League. 

Both Watford and West Ham are sitting on 24 points - making them the next two sides sitting in the relegation slots but both of these teams have shown the ability to beat quality sides in the league this year and the bookmakers don’t seem to be entirely convinced that they are good options for the drop at this stage. 

Aston Villa are sitting on 25 points total and they are the only other side in the English Premier League that is available at an odds-on price for the drop down to the Championship next season.
