English Premier League Relegation Update PT 1

Things are certainly starting to get interesting in the English Premier League as a number of clubs are still in the mix for relegation and the battle over who is going to get the drop into the Championship next year looms large. There appears to be about six or even seven teams that have a genuine chance of getting the drop this time.

The really interesting part about it is the fact that the clubs that appear set to drop out of the English Premier League weren’t in this position at Christmas as a few crisis clubs including Crystal Palace and Swansea have battled their way off the bottom spot.

Right now, it appears as though West Bromwich Albion is the side that could be running out of time here and their meagre haul of 20 points from this season so far just looks like it’s not going to be good enough to retain their English Premier League status.

In fact, a quick look at the odds from virtually any bookmaker will show you that the Baggies are considered to be destined for the Championship next year, which will certainly be a blow to football players in the Midlands. Though you certainly get the fact that Leicester City fans won’t be too upset about seeing their regional rivals get the drop.

It appears as though Swansea aren’t entirely out of the woods yet either but they have battled their way off the bottom of the league and trade at a much longer price than they did previously a few months back. They were odds-on for the drop at one point but now are priced significantly higher so if you still think that they could slip up then keep your eyes peeled on the markets.
