English Premier League Saturday Preview PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on November 7, 2014 17:11 GMTThings get off to a great start as Saturday’s Premier League action kicks off with a real barn burner of a fixture with Liverpool hosting league leaders Chelsea. The early kick-off ensures that we’ll be getting the excitement ratcheted up really early and we’ve got Chelsea being floated as the significant favourites here with a 2.30 price tag to get the better over the struggling Reds who trade at a 3.25 price.

With the draw looming large at 3.40, you wonder whether a few punters might have a go and actually bet against Chelsea - particularly after their underwhelming performance in midweek to Maribor.
With a four-point fusion over close challengers Southampton, Chelsea still look the pick to win the title and the bookmakers have them odds-on to emerge victorious this year - a real credit to Jose Mourinho.
With even Brendan Rodgers now openly admitting to the media that this Liverpool side is lacking in all positions, you have to wonder what type of effect that is actually going to have on the team and whether they will be able to buckle down and really perform here.
Expect to see Mourinho go with Diego Costa and Didier Drogba up front again as they offer a powerful forward battering ram, which tends to open thing up for the midfielders as well since the strikers are such a handful to mark.
The bulk of punters will likely be backing Chelsea in the match and it will be interesting to see how the odds switch around prior to the kick-off, but the sharp play might be a scoreless first half as they might take a while to actually break Liverpool down.
