English Premier League Sunday Fixtures PT 1
- By A.J. Ryder on January 10, 2015 22:44 GMTAfter an emphatic Saturday full of action and excitement in the English Premier League, there is still two very interesting fixtures set to unfold on Sunday with Arsenal taking on Stoke City and Manchester United in a crunch clash against fourth place Southampton. There is a lot to like about these two match-ups and you can expect both of them to draw significant betting volume, particularly during the build-up to each of the fixtures.

The most notable aspect of the Saturday’s play was the fact that Manchester City were only able to muster up a tame 1-1 draw against Everton - who put in one of their most complete performances of the season. The Toffees will feel unlucky that they didn’t actually get the victory here and that means Chelsea now have a two point cushion against the northern club after taking a 2-0 victory against a manager-less Newcastle United that could have been by a bigger margin.
Alan Pardew got his Crystal Palace tenure off to an incredible start with a smash and grab 2-1 victory at home against Tottenham - who saw Harry Kane hit the back of the net once again. With Palace now out of the relegation zone, you can expect things to get very interesting at the bottom of the table with so many clubs potentially in the mix for the drop. This will be exacerbated with each coming week.
Arsenal vs Stoke sees the Gunners come into the match with a slim 1/2 price tag being floated by most major bookmakers while Stoke come into the fixture with some bounce in their step having taken a few decent scalps so far this season. Considering the fact that this one comes on the heels of a well-deserved point against Manchester United, you reckon that they just might fancy their chances here against an Arsenal side who sit lower in the table than their Manchester counterparts do.
The Potters are a full 6/1 for the outright victory and there will probably a few who fancy Arsenal to lose this one but expect brisk business to be done on the draw in this match-up with a 10/3 price tag being floated right now.
As we get closer to the actual match you can expect the price to drop by a fair amount on a point to go to waste. Expect Arsenal to concede early, perhaps from a set piece. A red card in this match wouldn’t be entirely out of order either.
