English Premier League Sunday Fixtures PT 1

There is a lot of exciting action ahead of us on Sunday in the English Premier League with some top sides set to face-off over the pair of fixtures set to unfold throughout the day. Saturday saw some exciting fixtures with a few teams making big statements about  their intentions throughout the rest of the English Premier League season.

Liverpool were able to keep the pressure on Manchester United in their pursuit of second place as they got a 4-1 result at home over the likes of West Ham. They had gone into the contest as the biggest favourites on the day at a slim ¼ price and delivered dutifully for the Anfield faithful.

Leicester were held to a tough 1-1 draw by Stoke City who will definitely appreciate the away point. While basement club West Bromich Albion remain at the bottom of the English Premier League after being beaten at home by Huddersfield - who make a step out relegation territory and now sit in fourteenth position.  

The opening contest on Sunday will see a London Derby unfold with Crystal Palace playing host to Tottenham Hotspur in a match that sees Spurs coming in as the odds-on favourites to secure the away victory. This one is crucial in their pursuit of Champions League football since grinding out results away from home when you are genuinely fancied is how you put those points on the board that wind up paying big dividends in May.

Punters will find Spurs coming into the contest trading at a ¾ best price with a number of top bookmakers. Crystal Palace had previously been struggling early in the season and looked likely candidates for relegation but they have fought their way off the bottom and now sit firmly established in the mid-table of the English Premier League.
