ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE TOP GOALSCORER SPECIAL BETS

We've got the 2010/11 Premier League set to finally kick off and one of the most exciting long-range bets you can do ahead of the new season is the Premier League Top Goal Scorer market. To make things even more interesting, popular Irish bookmaker Paddy Power has promised to double up the odds on any selection that wins the market and does so with 30 or more goals.
As it currently stands, there are 3 main favourites and they include Didier Drogba, Wayne Rooney and Fernando Torres. All three selections are available at an 11/2 price tag. I think these are the only three potential players who are going to score 30 goals a season and much depends on their fitness levels, that's why I'm a bit put off Fernando Torres.
You'll looking at 11/1 if any of these three score over 30 goals.
Robin Van Persie is trading at 10/1 and would pay out at 20/1 should he pull off a 30 goal season. Manchester City's Carlos Tevez is trading at 12/1 while Jermain Defoe can be backed at a 16/1 price. Darren Bent is trading at 20/1 while Nicolas Anelka is available at 22/1. Emmanuel Adebayor, Frank Lampard and Marouane Chamakh are all priced at 25/1 and would reward at 50/1 if any of them scored over 30.
Frank Lampard would need an awful lot of penalties and deflected goals to pull that off.
Steven Gerrard is priced alongside Javier Hernandez, aka Chicharito, to be top goalscorer. Cesc Fabregas, Louis Saha, Dimitar Berbatov and Andrei Arshavin are all priced at 40/1.
If you think that a player will pull off the top goalscorer title but fail to hit the 30 goal threshold you can still lock in an enhanced price by opting for the winner & goalscorer doubles. Chelsea to win the Premier League and Drogba to be top goalscorer pays out at 11/1 while United to win and Rooney to run as top goalscorer pays out at 12/1. Torres to top score and Liverpool to win pays out at 33/1.
