There is a pile of quality English Premier League action set to kick off this weekend and there are more than a few juicy betting opportunities for punters across the land so let’s take a look at some of the more appealing fixtures from a betting perspective.

The match-ups are evenly divided over the Saturday and Sunday with the likely feature contest of the weekend shaping up to be the talismanic clash between Manchester United and in-form Arsenal. The Gunners will have been buoyed by their massive victory over Borussia Dortmund away in the Champions League and there is even more to enjoy about the quality price you’re going to be looking at for both sides.
United go in as the slim favourites but they will have to get everything right if they’re going to be able to deal with an Arsenal side that have already shown that they can tangle with the best of them. They seem to be going from strength to strength after signing Mesut Ozil and that’s opened things up for them in the middle of the park in a very big way. Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere both seem to be adjusting well to the new style of play at the Emirates and that has shown some depth emerging in both of their games at the moment.
Aston Villa go into their match-up with Cardiff listed as the odds-on favourites with the bookmakers pricing them at a 1.95 listing as we head into Saturday’s set of fixtures. The Welsh side are a 3.75 shot while the draw (which will be a popular wager with neutrals) can be backed at 3.2.
Villa had started the season quite brightly but now seem to be settling into their usual spot towards the bottom end of the table. They have 10 points and are still well clear of the relegation zone but just aren’t looking as sharp as you would like them to be. Cardiff sit a few runs above them and would do well to get a result here and you might see more than a few punters staking a bit of their hard-earned on the Welsh side as the listing approaches a 4.0 payout.
