There is plenty left to play for even if Manchester United have already been crowned Champions of the Premier League with four fixtures still remaining in the season. The race is well and truly on for the final relegation spot with both QPR and Reading looking doomed at the moment.

Wigan and Aston Villa will be locked in a tough duel for the next couple of weeks while the three or four teams just ahead of them will be looking to pick up a point or two just to ensure safety. With only one real relegation spot up for grabs at the moment it certainly makes things a bit safer for teams on the periphery.
Look for Wigan to really go for it against Tottenham this weekend. They face off on Saturday and it’s going to be a very interesting match - particularly with Wigan playing at home.
Spurs go into the match as the slim 21/20 favourites and they will probably be even money if they take the late action like many probably suspect. Wigan will do well to get a point from this but history has shown us year after year that they have a way of pulling results out of nowhere and pulling off big upsets at crucial points in the season.
While this one really could just come down to who scores first and stays on the lead, there is every chance that the Latics will deploy a more attacking formation and come at Spurs right from the outset.
Punters will find Wigan trading at a 12/5 price with the draw looking an interesting option at 13/5. It’s fairly clear that the bookmakers expect Wigan to really go for this one and it’s going to be tough for them to contain Gareth Bale.
It would be much easier for Wigan if they didn’t have an opponent who still had something to play for at this point. They would probably relish a fixture against West Brom or Swansea at the moment - two sides who are comfortable in mid-table. Tottenham still have an outside shot at pulling off a Champions League play-off position and that might be some ammunition to keep Gareth Bale at the club through to the next season.
