One suspects that if anybody fancies the top sides to win then there is a generous accumulator wager out there on Chelsea x Manchester City x Southampton on Saturday with all of the sides trading at odds-on prices right now.
The action gets off to a good start Saturday just after noon time with a London Derby set to fascinate fans and punters alike. Arsenal face off against Spurs in a fixture that really could help sway the momentum one way or another in terms of pursuit of a European spot.
Right now, Arsenal are dead-even with Southampton in the league - both sitting in fourth place and looking a little comfortable there. Southampton have obviously outperformed all expectations this year and the fact remains that this is usually right around when Arsenal begin to slip up and start dropping points in fixtures that they really should be winning.
Arsenal go into their fixture as the 5/4 away favourites and that’s always a tricky bet for punters - even with Arsenal set to have plenty of travelling support there. Spurs can be backed at 21/10 and backing Harry Kane to score seems like a logical move here with Arsenal looking increasingly frail defensively.
It’s also worth noting that Alexis Sanchez is unlikely to suit up for this one and that’s the type of match winning spark that Arsenal really would have needed in order to ensure a genuine result. With the draw trading at a 5/2 margin that’s not half-bad and could very well wind up being the result - either 1-1 or 2-2.
