English Premier League Weekend Preview PT 1

We have another slate of English Premier League action ahead of us this weekend and we have some really fascinating contests set to unfold. While the league might be looking a little bit more done and dusted in terms of who's going to be the Champion, barring any type of ridiculous late collapse from Chelsea, there remains a very tight relegation scrap at the bottom (that includes the defending champions Leicester City) in addition to a really boisterous battle to round out the Champions League positions.

Chelsea have a relatively easy weekend ahead of them with an away fixture at mid-table side Burnley. The hosts have distinguished themselves this year when it looked like they would struggle and they remain firmly in mid-table, which will suit the manager and the fanbase if they can finish there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

Chelsea trade at a best price of 4/9 for the outright victory while Burnley are an 8/1 shout to pulll off a home victory which would certainly open things up a bit for some of the chasing pack – in particular Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs face a crunch away clash against fellow Champions League aspirants Liverpool in the late game on Saturday and they are going into this one as the underdogs despite sitting four points ahead of Jurgen Klopp's side. The Reds come into the match with a price hovering around a 5/4 margin for the outright victory while Spurs are available at a best price of about 12/5 for the win after 90 minutes.

On form, it's difficult to go against Spurs here since Liverpool have dropped a couple of important contests and have become mired outside of the top four with Manchester United nipping at their heels. With both sides likely needing the win, you have to reckon that neither one will really venture forwards too aggressively so the two sides could wind up cancelling each other out. You'll find the draw priced at 12/5.
