We have a whole slew of really exciting contests set to unfold in the English Premier League and the bookmakers have some solid odds lined up for punters to test their luck. Some interesting trends are already beginning to develop as the league begins to take shape and, with the transfer window set to shut in a few days time, the pressure is beginning to grow on certain managers.

The action gets off to a start on Saturday with Chelsea playing host to Crystal Palace and the Blues will definitely be looking to get a result here to get things back on track. Setting themselves up for a solid start to the early season period. Frank Lampard isn’t really under any pressure as manager yet but they will be expected to deal with the top clubs just as easily as they deal with some of the bottom-dwelling sides. 

It’s probably not a huge surprise that Chelsea come into the match as the outright favourites for the victory and you’ll find Frank Lampard’s men available around a ½ margin for the outright win. Crystal Palace have shown that they can take care of a lot of good sides if they show up and play their best so you reckon that the 7/1 price tag out there might wind up being appealing to a few sets of punters. 

The draw here can be backed around a 4/1 margin and that will probably look fine for Palace supporters. 

Leeds will be expected to produce another high-tempo performance as they face a Manchester City side that might be a bit more vulnerable than they have been over the past few years. While Leeds United have gotten their English Premier League return off to a great start with some exciting attacking football, they might look at this one as a contest where they could nick a draw.
