ENGLISH PREMIERSHIP TIPS FOR SATURDAY NOVEMBER 7
ASTON VILLA VS BOLTON WANDERERSThis is going to be quite a competitive fixture and I think Bolton really need to throw caution to the wind and go for all three points here. Villa are quality and they need to start picking up wins on a more frequent basis. This is one of those matches that is either going to be scrappy and end-to-end or could be a absolutely dour 0-0 draw. Blue Square is listing Villa at 8/11 while Bolton carry a solid price of 4/1. The draw is paying out at 5/2 and I'm a bit undecided about this one. The match is clearly Villa's to win, but it really comes down to which Bolton side shows up here. I will be backing Gabby Agbonlahor to get on the scoresheet at 5/4 and I'll also likely have a punt on draw/Aston Villa at 16/5. BLACKBURN ROVERS VS PORTSMOUTHIt would be a very big step up for Pompey to win this match and if they are going to have any chance of survival this year, this is the type of fixture in which they need to draw all three points. Personally, I think Portsmouth are coming back into the right type of form and I think there is a distinct chance that they can outfox Blackburn and get the result. Sam Allardyce's side is listed at 11/10 with Blue Square while Pompey are well-priced at 13/5. The draw at 11/5 isn't out the question either and if you are playing this in an accumulator it is probably the safest option. I don't think Rovers come flying out of the gates here and I think it could be a good old fashion 1-1 draw. MANCHESTER CITY VS BURNLEYAn absolute must-win for Manchester City, who are on a deplorable run of draws. They are certainly up there fighting for a good spot, but if they want to truly challenge they need to win this type of match. In all honesty, I would be betting against Man City if Burnley's form wasn't so utterly dire away from home. They are 10/1 to win this and that more or less says it all to me. It would take a cock-up of epic proportions to get City to give this one away and I simply think we need to respect City enough to assume they are a better side than that. That is probably their most measurable amount of success so far this season.Regardless, I'll take City at 1/3, but if you're betting against them, the draw is well-priced at 7/2. TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR VS SUNDERLANDSpurs take on Sunderland and I think if there's an upset out there and a big bet to push on for Saturday's action, this is likely your best shot. Sunderland come in at 5/1 to take the away victory against a Spurs side that are showing more weaknesses now than previously in the season. I also think Darren Bent has a good shot at a hat-trick. Harry Redknapp dismissed him as a mediocre player after off-loading him and Bent has hit back in the best possible way. He comes into the match with plenty of goals to his credit and you know he's going to give 200% tomorrow because he's that type of player. He's also pushing for an England place and he knows that. I am backing Darren Bent to score (7/4), to score twice (12/1) and to score a hat trick (80/1). WOLVES VS ARSENALfArsenal are playing sublime stuff and will be in bouyant mood after their Champions League heroics in midweek. They are listed at 2/5 and even though Molineux isn't the easiest stadium to go to, I expect they'll get the result one way or another. I don't think they'll keep a clean sheet however. Wolves are listed at Blue Square at 15/2 while the draw is priced at 10/3. I'd take Arsenal to add a bit to your accumulators, but I'd back Arsenal to win by 2-1 and 3-1 at 15/2 and 11/1.
