EURO 2012 BETTING TIPS AND PREDICTIONS FOR SEPTEMBER 7
We've got a full slate of betting markets available for the upcoming Euro 2012 fixtures and we were definitely treated to a few surprises on Friday so I think there's plenty of reason to assume we'll see plenty of twists and turns on Tuesday.
Euro 2012 qualifiers will produce some really lopsided contests so picking which matches will see lots of goals and playing them together on accumulators can be an especially profitable betting strategy and it's a nice way to extract some value from the fixtures that include high-profile teams against minnows.
William Hill has also put together some interesting enhanced multiples that deliver a bit of extra value than you would get anywhere else, so be sure to check those out if you are planning on combination wagers.
The Russia vs Slovakia odds are indicating that this one could be closer than you might expect with Russia priced as solid favourites at 8/15 with the draw at 11/4 and Slovakia at 6/1. Russia are justifiably the better bet, but the draw is not out of the question.
Georgia takes on Israel and the Israeli side is priced at 11/8 while the hosts are available at 21/10. The draw is also priced at 21/10 and I think that's probably the best option here. This will be a battle of key moments and should be a low-scoring affair.
Belarus vs Romania looks to be a toss-up with Belarus at 8/5 and Romania listed at 9/5. The draw is trading at 21/10 and I think that the Romanians can pull off the victory if they get everything right. There is little margin for error in this one.
Bulgaria vs Montenegro shows the Bulgarians ready to get over their 4-0 loss and with William Hill showing plenty of confidence with an 8/11 price tag. Montenegro are at 9/2 and the draw is at 23/10- but I think Bulgaria should take this.
Malta vs Latvia is favouring the visitors with the Latvian side priced at 8/11 while Malta trades at a lengthy 4/1. The draw is 5/2 but I predict Latvia should stroll to a 3-0 or 3-1 victory.
Macedonia vs Armenia looks like a rather lopsided contest with FYR Macedonia priced at 4/7 with their opponents at 5/1. The draw is listed at 11/4 but Macedonia simply have a much tighter team that the Armenians and they should walk this one.
Hungary are the 1/2 favourites ahead of 7/1 Moldova. The draw looks the best bet for Moldovan fans at 13/5 but Hungary are a fairly bankable team here.
Sweden are the biggest favourites of the day with a 1/100 price indicating that this one could get into double digits. The draw is listed at 16/1 and the unlikely victory for San Marino is trading at a massive 80/1.
Turkey vs Belgium is a solid fixture and the host side look distinct favourites at 8/13. The Belgians are capable of springing a surprise if they produce a quality performance and you can back them at a 5/1 price. The draw is listed at 13/5.
Albania are the heavy 2/7 favourites ahead of 10/1 Luxembourg. A draw is listed at 4/1 here, but I think the Albanians should be able to overpower Luxembourg. I think we could see quite a few goals here as well.
Czech Republic vs Lithuania is priced at the same odds as the above fixture and I think the Czechs are a solid bet at 2/7 and should be a part of your accumulator selections. This is another potentially high-scoring fixture.
Denmark vs Iceland is showing the Danes at 2/7 while the draw is sitting at 4/1 with the Icelandic side at 10/1. It would take a serious slip up from Denmark to lose this one and I think they're a safe bet.
Austria vs Kazakhstan odds are priced at 2/7 for the Austrians and 11/1 for the visiting side. The draw is listed at 4/1 but I think it makes sense to back the Austrians in front of their home crowd.
Croatia vs Greece could be an interesting affair and I like the looks of Croatia at a 4/7 listing. The draw is at 13/5 while the Greeks are 11/2- I wouldn't fault any Greek fans for having a punt at that price, but I think Croatia are firm favourites.
Holland vs Finland is a very solid-looking fixture to watch, but it's a one-sided contest to bet on with the Dutch at 1/9 and the Finnish side at a full 25/1 price. The draw is listed at 7/1 and I think a 4-0 victory for Holland is quite plausible.
Norway vs Portugal is a first-rate match up and I like Portugal at 5/4 while the Norwegians are listed at 11/5. The draw is priced at 23/10 and that's not a bad bet for the neutrals.
Serbia are 4/7 favourites to topple Slovenia, who are listed at a 6/1 price. The draw is 5/2 but I expect Serbia to take the bulk of the betting volume here.
Germany are massive favourites at 1/100 to beat out Azerbaijan, who are trading at 80/1. The draw is listed at 14/1 but there is only one way this one is going. 5-0 to Germany.
Republic of Ireland vs Andorra is another one-sided match with the Irish at 1/40 and Andorra priced at 80/1. The draw is listed at 12/1 and I expect pretty much everybody to be backing Ireland by at least a 3-0 margin.
Switzerland vs England has been profiled in greater depth on this site so we'll leave you to check that one out for yourself.
Italy vs Faroe Islands is showing Italy as the 1/100 favourites with the Faroe's at 80/1 and the draw at 16/1. You know how this one is panning out, but the Faroe's might try their best to make a game of it.
Bosnia vs France is a fairly even match-up with the Bosnians priced at 8/5 and the French at 7/4. I think the 11/5 draw is about right as the French team might still be trying to find their feet.
Scotland vs Liechtenstein is a one-sided contest with the Scottish team at 1/12 and their opponents at 22/1. The draw is priced at 9/1 but I think Scotland should be able to get things back on track here.
