EURO 2012 QUALIFYING MATCHES ON SEPTEMBER 3 FULL PREVIEW AND BETTING ODDS
We have a whole heap of fixtures kicking off on September 3rd as the Euro 2012 campaign begins in dramatic style. There are a number of interesting matches out there and the bookmakers have odds listed for every single fixture. In fact, some matches already have over 100 different markets at popular UK bookmaker William Hill.
We'll be quickly examining each fixture and giving you our exclusive accumulator tips for Euro 2012 qualifying.
Armenia vs Republic of Ireland odds show the Irish as strong 6/10 favourites while the Armenians are priced at 4/1 for a home victory and the draw trades at 23/10. I think the Irish are more than capable of winning this one, but it's a tougher away fixture than they would have liked. Neutrals should take the draw but I reckon Republic should handle things. The first goal is crucial.
Turkey vs Kazakhstan shows the Turkish side as heavy 3/10 favourites while Kazakhstan can be backed at a lengthy 7/1. The draw is at 17/5 but there is only one ay this one is going.
Russia are one of the biggest favourites of the weekend for the Andorra vs Russia fixture, with the visiting carrying a miniscule 1/40 price tag. Andorra pay 50/1 for a dramatic victory while the draw is priced at 11/1.
Moldova vs Finland has the Finnish side at even money while Moldova trades at 11/5. The draw is also priced at 11/5 and I think this is a winnable match if the home side come out and stay organized.
Faroe Islands vs Serbia is another lopsided contest with the island nation listed at a massive 25/1 while Serbia is a slim 1/16 price. The draw is trading at 7/1 but there's only one way this is finishing.
Montenegro are odds-on favourites to beat out Wales with the host side priced at 5/6 and the Welsh at an 11/4 listing. I think this is a potential upset and the 11/5 draw would be about right, in my books.
Greece vs Georgia could be a tricky one for the hosts, but the bookies are confident, listing them at 4/11 while the Georgians are trading at 7/1. The draw is listed at 11/4.
Croatia are the 6/10 favourites to beat 4/1 Latvia while the draw is priced at 23/10. I'm pretty sure the Crotians should get the win, but Latvia have proven in the past that they can be a force to be reckoned with on their day.
Romania are heavy 2/9 favourites to dispose of Albania, who can be backed at 17/2. The draw is listed at 4/1, but I'll be siding with a routine home win for the Romanians.
Sweden vs Hungary should be a competitive fixture, but Sweden are solid 2/5 favourites with the Hungarians at a 6/1 price. The 11/4 draw could interest some punters.
Lithuania vs Scotland is split right down the middle with both sides at a 6/4 price and the draw at 21/10. I think Scotland have proven themselves to be a bit all-over-the-place in the past, but I think if they score the first goal they could roll to victory here. William Hill has 178 different markets on this fixture.
Bosnia are 1/5 favourites to topple Lexembourg, who are priced at 8/1. The 9/2 draw doesn't do it for me, as the Bosnians should coast to a win.
Estonia actually look somewhat competitive against Italy, with the bookies pricing them at 7/1. The Italians are at 4/11 and the draw is at 11/4- I would actually say this one could be a potential upset and the draw looks decent value to me.
Slovakia are 4/9 favourites to beat out 6/1 Macedonia with the draw at 5/2- I think Slovakia are well priced here for the win.
Belgium vs Germany could be an interesting match if the Belgians really show up to play, but Germany at 4/9 is a fairly solid bet no matter which way you look at it. The Belgian side trade at 6/1 with a 5/2 draw available.
Spain are the shortest odds on the board with a 1/100 price to beat out tiny Liechtenstein, who trade at a distant 80/1. A shock draw pays out at a mere 16/1.
San Marino vs Holland is listed at identical odds to the match above and you an pretty much get the feeling that there's only one way this is panning out.
Slovenia are trading at 11/20 while Northern Ireland are a juicy 9/2 to pull off an away victory. The draw is priced at 23/10 and I think that Northern Ireland have shown acumen in the past in fixtures like this and could very well spring a surprise.
England vs Bulgaria has the English priced as strong 2/7 favourites with Bulgaria at 7/1 and the draw at 7/2. We've gone into more detail about this fixture yesterday.
France vs Belarus shows France also at 2/7 against a visiting side priced at 7/1. The draw is at 7/2 and I actually think a potential upset can't be ruled out here either. It all depends how much of a mess this French side remains.
Iceland vs Norway shows the Norwegians as slim favourites with a 3/4 price. Iceland are available at an 11/4 price tag while the draw is at 23/10.
Portugal are heavy 1/7 favourites to dispose of 11/1 Cyprus. The draw is at 5/1 but I reckon Portugal finish the job here.
If you're looking to just bet big favourites, you can lock in 5.49 odds on an elevenfold accumulator with Turkey x Russia x Serbia x Romania x Bosnia x Slovakia x Germany x Spain x Holland x England x Portugal.
A home nations bet on Republic of Ireland x Wales x Scotland x Northern Ireland x England pays out at a whopping 105/1.
